Adapt Item operational emails by language while retaining the variables each notification needs.

Before you start

  • Confirm the primary instance language.
  • Identify only the recipient languages you can maintain.
Item email-template list with event, recipient, primary language and customisation status.
Email templates inherit the protected Suite base and allow controlled language-specific content.

Keep the protected Suite base

Item uses the common email layout for its operational notifications. Customise sender and content without removing identifiers, product data or links required by each message.

Work by language

Review the primary version first and add only the translations your recipients need. Empty custom fields inherit the protected template and a translation can be reset safely.

Understand the boundary

These emails report Item activity. They do not send purchase documents through an electronic procurement network, chase supplier invoices or confirm a financial payment.

Step by step

  1. Open Emails from Item.
  2. Choose the operational notification.
  3. Review sender and primary-language content.
  4. Add or edit only required translations.
  5. Preview identifiers, product data and action links.

Final check

  • Required variables remain present.
  • Content matches the actual Item workflow.
  • Every maintained language was reviewed.
Tip: Reset an outdated customisation when inheriting the protected platform version is safer.
